Hello! Welcome to Our Portals, LLC. My name is Candace Birk. I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself, my working philosophy, and OUR PORTALS.
Lifelong growing and learning has always been a priority for me. I believe that I am in an excellent position to serve you, my client, with attentiveness, knowledge and care. I graduated from Northwestern University with undergraduate degrees in Education and in Theater. Later, I obtained a graduate certificate from the University of Minnesota’s Center for Spirituality and Healing in Integrative Therapies and Healing Practices with a focus on Health Coaching. Through my academic and professional journeys, I have gained a deep understanding of wellness, creativity, learning, and healing, particularly as they pertain to the changes and transitions that are a part of all of our lives.
During my career, I have enjoyed working with people from many disciplines and differing backgrounds. As a coach, artist, and educator, I thrive on well-being, creativity, story, and authenticity. I believe that all of us are capable of meeting the challenges of change, reframing our stories, and navigating personal transitions. Likewise, I believe each of us is capable of discovering our purpose and becoming our best self.
My approach celebrates the idea that you can expand and enhance your life by recognizing and using the singular gifts you bring into the world. By combining these gifts with inquiry-based resources, different ways of knowing, research-based health studies, and art and communication techniques, we will co-create a plan to accomplish your personal goals. Together we will investigate where you are right now, what you want to explore and change, and where you see yourself in your ideal future. We will work as partners on this journey toward bridging the gap between your current lifestyle and a more rich and fulfilling one.
